William Rowland, MD, is a family medicine and sports medicine physician at Boca General & Family Medicine in Boca Raton, Florida. He’s beloved by his patients for his kindness, compassion, and family-oriented style of medical care, and is revered within the community for his service.

Dr. Rowland has extensive experience in sports medicine and has worked with high school, college, and professional athletes. He served as a physician for the Marlins for several years and even earned himself a 1997 World Series ring.

Dr. Rowland received both his undergraduate and his medical degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, and then completed his residency in family medicine at Tallahassee Regional Medical Center. To further his skill set, Dr. Rowland completed a fellowship in sports medicine and adult fitness at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.

To provide his patients with more well-rounded care, Dr. Rowland also received additional training in dermatology through continuing education and shadowing dermatology specialists for several months on his own time. Dr. Rowland is a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and has completed significant training in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and anti-aging medicine.

When he’s not improving the health and wellness of his patients, Dr. Rowland enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. His hobbies include reading, golfing, running, and spearfishing.
